PALMDALE – The Palmdale City Library will host a free class on xeriscaping, a landscaping method using desert-friendly and water wise plants.
The class will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 23, at the Library, located at 700 E Palmdale Boulevard.
Presented by Brad Hayes of Greenbee Landscape, the class will feature great information for people wanting to transform their yards in a smart and attractive way, while simultaneously cutting their water bills. Attendees will receive a free plant to take home with them, while supplies last.
“With our area in the middle of a severe drought and water rationing taking place, now’s your chance to make your yard look great and save water at the same time,” said Palmdale City Library Director Thomas Vose.
Chatham Court officially voted in new rules for Xeriscape on August 21, 2014, with unanimous approval from board members. Residents may continue to comment or suggest changes, going forward.
